Maria and Mike’s perfect Hollins House wedding turned out so spectacular. It was only recently that we were hopping around a chilly San Francisco taking engagement pictures. Suddenly we’re struggling to tie bowties together and greeting family from Hong Kong. Their day was a whirlwind full of nerves, excitement, laughing and cocktails. These were just a few of the ingredients that perfected this classy Hollins House wedding.
Sometimes a wedding with so much class can feel a little impersonal. But with their special touches, like a ceremony performed by Mike’s father, it felt almost like a family reunion. While it did get a bit windy, spirits were still at an all time high. Also, the spirits at Hollins House are top notch cocktails. Toasts were given in Cantonese and English. Most of all, Maria and Mike were in love all over again. Their images are probably my all time favorite now.
Hollins House was established in 1929, so there’s some history there. It’s really cool to walk the halls and look at all the old black and white photos of Marion Hollins playing golf and riding horses. Ultimately, this place is ideal for a formal event like Maria and Mike’s wedding. The views are spectacular and the grounds are beautiful. So those folks have a well-oiled machine running up on that green hill in Pasatiempo. Maybe you should get that thing locked down for your own wedding!
Enjoy some of my favorites from this fantastic day of love and life and lamp. Tons of thanks and appreciation to my associate Molly Hansen who, 4 weeks post-partum, helped me out by 2nd shooting a double header weekend and basically killing it new-mom style.
