Jen and Alex’s intimate Oakland house wedding was wonderful. These two are super talented—artist and programmer. Their house was adorable. This day was more laid back and intimate. The big party was to happen the following weekend. So what do you plan for if you’re wanting a dainty little home wedding?
First, you have to make sure all the right people are there. Closest family and friends? Check. Next, the perfect accents to decorate your place. Um, CHECK. Personal touches to your ceremony? Done! Now add, like, a million cute babies and adorable grandmas. Oh, and don’t forget the Mexican food, pinata, and ice cream sandwiches. Congratulations, your day is half as cute as Jen and Alex’s!
From Jen:
We LOVE eating, sleeping, drawing, reading, anything basically that doesn’t involve fast reflexes or some kind of physical strength/flexibility/balance 🙂
When asked about their day:
Kind of casual, colorful (no specific color theme)! Ceremony will be in our backyard’s tiny lawn with about 30 guests starting at about 11am, then funneling everyone to the tiny deck for cocktails and appetizers while the caterers move the tables and set them up. Lunch will be on the grass again, then caterers will clear out mid-afternoon and other friends will arrive to hang out, eat tacos, and drink with us 🙂
YOU HEAR THAT??? TACOS!!!
With the help of pro photographer John Bosely, the day was captured the way you would experience it as a guest. We loved the details and laid back atmosphere these guys created. It would have been exactly perfect, except we knew the celebrations would be topped off with the cherry-on-top of their reception the following weekend. Thanks to these two for a great day—we wish them the best.
